Been a while...
So, sorry I have not been around. I have been in Charolette, NC the past 4 days for an ESPN NBA game. Quick brief: I got to 'meet' Michael Jordan, sit court side at the game or really go anywhere I wanted, BUT I traveled Wednesday, worked from 9am-10pm Thursday setting up and doing a run through, worked from 6am-1am Friday (yes a 19 hour day), went to bed at 2am, then got up at 5am Saturday to fly home, only to leave right from the office after packing for the wizards game to work the wizards game until 11pm. I am tired, yes, very very tired. Work has been well, I have been told I'll be hired full time after the new year, and then travel will a separate $350/day income on top of that. Not complaining yet. Busy, but a fun weekend was had last
So, I'm sure everyone and their brother's sister's husband's trashcan's cat has read Andy's post on our weekend in Cleveland, so I'll just recap by saying that man, it was an awesome time. Much time cuddling on the couch, watching TV or movies, drinking and playing Grass, along with smoking it :P I never want to leave those guys way over yonder in OH, cause well, it's such a rockstar good time. Anyone who has ever been to hang with them will know for sure what I am talking bout! Glad I got to meet LILLIIIIIL...... y Disco. That little one, Duncan, can really rip a mean fart. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph can he clear a room, or couch. My stomach still hasn't settled from all the food we ate, but what do ya expect when you are around Andy! Just messin boo boo Andy, you know I love ya! Kinda sucks Steve couldn't be around more, but from what I understand, he is almost done with school in like 3 weeks, so he can rock out with his cock out verrrrrryyyy sooooooon! Big hugs Stevie pie! I can't wait till I can see my favorite peeps again! Not to mention some of the cool cats that I met on Friday and Saturday at the house and at the bar. Such hotness everywhere I turned. Vacation with my babe and fam
So, finally back to the daily grindstone. Vacation in the Banks was awesome as ever, as always. Aaron was with me, which made the trip THAT much more exciting and worthwhile. He did very well and I am proud of him for that. I won't go into all the details, cause well, nobody reads this shit anyway lol, but, it was great weather, sans the one day it did rain, great company, great booze, all day long, and ended up with a great tan line :D I really miss Aaron, I guess I got a lil too used to him being around, waking up next to him, stealing away for a few kisses, etc... It's been to long...
First I want to wish a very dear friend of mine a very happy happy happy birthday. So, Bill roguecub, have an AWESOME birthday bubba! Next on the agenda... I had an awesome time when Aaron was here. We went camping and it ruled. It was cold and it snowed one night, but we had each other to keep warm. I also forgot pillows, which was interesting, but we made do, woops! :P I didn't post the pics, cause Aaron did himself and there were just sooooo many. So check out his profile for the camping fun! seidnernin And add him as a friend, he ROCKS! I haven't found a job yet, but today I have an interview with a recruiting firm in downtown Baltimore, so we shall see how it goes since it is my first good lead. The finance industry is tough, let me tell ya! lol Next in order is something I've been working on the past couple of days. Anne Arundel County (where I live) is holding a contest. It is for whoever can come up with a 'new and fun logo' to be used when hiring for the county and stuff. The old one is 'too governmental' looking and serious. So, they want something more fun and laid back I guess. ( This is my entry, well one idea so far )The second is a new tattoo idea I came up with, and want to maybe make it the official logo for University of Maryland lacrosse. So, I don't know where I am gonna get it yet, but eventually I will, somewhere. And don't mind the fact it doesn't look even or perfect yet, it's just the way it scanned and not a final draft, more of a work in progress. ( So, here that is )I never really do any artwork anymore, I don't think I am good enough at it, but I do enjoy doing it when I have a motivation, reason, or an idea. I'm going camping... Yayyyyyyyyyy!
Aaron seidnernin is flying in tomorrow and we are spending the weekend together, just the two of us, camping. I can't wait. I just got back from shopping and I am completely done packing, it's sooooooo hard now, cause I just have to wait at this point. The only thing left to do is buy ice for the cooler and things that need to stay cold, like the steaks, hotdogs, peppers, BEER, water, lunchmeat, etc... then it's off to the airport to pick him up 'round noon. It's gonna be such a hot time! Oh, and the stars aligned and the heavens opened, cause basically the same time Aaron is landing at BWI, so is Andy billys_shirts and his friend Russ. How cool is that? SO, hopefully all flights will be on time and I will get to see Andy and Aaron will get to meet Andy. And maybe, just maybe, I'll have the opportunity to give Andy and Russ a ride to DC so we can chat and catch up. Also, in other news: I am still in search for a job, the online hunt didn't really produce shit, so I decided to send hard copy resumes via certified mail to HR departments or VP's of the companies. Such companies included: Legg Mason, Wells Fargo, T. Rowe Price, M&T Bank, and Morgan Stanley. HOPEFULLY, I will get some responses quicker than just playing the 'apply online waiting game'. Gotta try and stand out above the rest right? So, I will keep the LJ world, or lack there of, that read my journal, on my progress with this hunt. Can't wait for CAMPING!!!! Less than a DAY!
